What are SimArchive "roles"?

The SimArchive hosts various articles that might be restricted to Utopians, Enforcers and others. To ensure that these permissions are handled with the least friction possible and to make sure that a forgotten permission does not cause problems later down the line we are syncing your Discord Roles on the EliteAntal server to the SimArchive, automatically assigning you permissions based on the roles you have on Discord. Each time you log in these roles are synced and permission added/removed respectively.

What SimArchive role corresponds to which Discord role?

These are the current SimArchive roles that are assigned:

Admin - @wiki-admins

This role is given to Utopians that can handle everything on the SimArchive. As Admins they have full access to the software and can view, create, edit and delete any articles, assign and edit permissions, edit and delete users and so on.

Should there be a major issue on the wiki you can either directly ping @wiki-admins on Discord or contact one of the current admins from the table below:

CMDR username Discord username
InvestigateXM @InvestigateXM

Enforcers - @Enforcer

Enforcers have full access to all articles and can create, edit and delete them as well as assign custom permissions to them. They can also create new templates and manage images/attachments.

Reformers - @Reformer

Reformers have access to and can edit most of the articles. They can also delete their own articles/attachments or  update their attached permissions, but cannot delete content of others.

Utopians - @Utopian

Utopians can access most of the restricted articles which should only be seen by verified supporters of our SimGuru. They can create and edit Pages, but cannot create or edit Books or their Chapters.

Be responsible! CMDRs abusing these permissions will be restricted from the wiki.

Others

In addition to the above roles, some content might also be restricted to other special roles on the Discord server, such as those given to representatives of various Squadrons or Power Play representatives. CMDRs with these roles may be able to view otherwise restricted content or edit articles that others can only view.
